These Easy No Bake Energy Bars are a great snack to tide you over until your next meal. Perfect for when you’re on the run, supplying long lasting energy without the sudden sugar crash.
I’m a new father. I’m a noob and will admit it freely. I’m learning very quickly that my little bubble world in which I’ve been living is evolving into a much faster paced environment. Between work, driving children to school, soccer practice, and church, it’s been easy for me to let a meal slip through the cracks. When this happens my energy levels suffer greatly.
A deep tomato flavor salsa with yellow onion and jalapeño heat undertones. Rounded off with a refreshing hint of lime juice and red wine vinegar.
Making salsa was the first leap I made into preparing homemade food. Our family loves fajitas, tacos, and chips dipped in salsa. We’ve purchased several jarred brands in the past, many of which we enjoyed, but they never seemed as fresh as the salsa we had while eating out. I mentioned this to a friend one day and they asked why I didn’t just make my own homemade salsa.
This Sawmill White Pepper Gravy is creamy-smooth with a robust savory flavor. The zesty pepper kick is perfect for your breakfast biscuits!
If you’re an allergy sufferer like my wife then this is the gravy for you! One morning my poor wife woke up and could hardly breathe. So I prepared this zesty gravy potion to help clear her congestion, and it worked like a charm!
Perfect for slow cooked chicken fajitas. This seasoning has a medium spice kick with a hint of sweet and smoky flavor.
Fajitas, like tacos, are a family favorite around our house. When we began preparing our own homemade meals we were happy buying pre-made spice packages. But as I’ve grown in my food journeys I’ve learned making my own spice blends can be pretty easy (see my Taco Spice blog post). Not only are they easy to prepare, but I can adjust the flavors to my family needs. My Sweet and Smoky Fajita Seasoning was a family hit!Enjoy!
2 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
3/4 tsp coriander
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp sugar
1/2 tbsp corn starch
Place all spices into a bowl and mix well. Use spice to your taste or as you would use any pre-made packaged spice.
