If you’re an allergy sufferer like my wife then this is the gravy for you! One morning my poor wife woke up and could hardly breathe. So I prepared this zesty gravy potion to help clear her congestion, and it worked like a charm!
We smothered our biscuits with the savory goodness, but it can be an excellent compliment for your mashed potato side dish as well. However you choose to use the Sawmill White Pepper Gravy it’s sure to relieve those congested allergies!
- 5 tbsp flour
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 tbsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups milk (divided)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
1. Prepare the roux.
2) Add 1 cup of milk to the roux.
3) Add 1/2 cup heavy cream
4) Slowly add 1 cup milk
5) Add all dry ingredients
Add all the dry ingredients and continue whisking until you reach the consistency you like.
